Orlando is the first city of Central Florida. It is noted for its year round good weather and excellent transport and communication links. There are numerous Orlando villas to choose from and ours is one of them.

Orlando is famous for Walt Disney's World Resort, the world's biggest tourist destination, attracting millions of visitors every year. There are numerous other attractions such as Universal Studios, SeaWorld, etc. The villas in Orlando offer a base from which to explore the many attractions, etc, without being tied to a hotel regime.

However, it is surprisingly easy to find peace and quiet in the many state parks, botanical gardens, historical and science museums, art galleries, water parks and peaceful suburbs. Lake Eola has a remarkable fountain. Kissimmee's Lake Tohopekaliga has amazing birdlife. Church Street Station Complex in downtown Orlando offers shopping restaurants, music entertainment, etc. Fancy a quiet stroll? Try Harry P Leu Gardens; 56 acres of lush gardens in the centre of Orlando, with a restored turn-of-the-twentieth-century farmhouse. Orlando science centre is crowned by an observatory and features laser shows and planetarium presentations.

Orlando is also within easy reach of the gulf (west) and east coast beaches. The not-to-be-missed Cypress gardens is a short drive south. North of Orlando lies lush countryside, stud farms and areas untouched by tourism. Try Mount Dora, on the shores of Lake Dora, 20 miles north-east of Orlando for 'Old Florida'. An hour's drive north-west of Orlando is Ocala. Numerous stud farms are found here as well as Silver Springs (Florida's original Theme Park). This has the largest number of artesian wells in the world. Airboat and boat tours are within a short drive.
